In its resolution 57/22, the Human Rights Council decided to extend the mandate of Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Burundi for a further period of one year and requested the Special Rapporteur to present to the Council, at its fifty-ninth session, an oral update on the situation of human rights in Burundi.
